Home-made "ombre"?!

Hi guys!!!

About a year ago I read the word "ombre" in fashion magazines for the first time. They used it for pants, tops, nails and even hair!  That's when I started my research to discover it's meaning was just combining two colors and making them look like they are both melting together in the middle.  The first ombre thing I had was a pair of tights (see below), melting together blue with gray.  

 My new curiosity is trying the ombre trend on my hair.  I think this is a very scary/risky/daring adventure, but I'm suddenly tired and bored of my hairstyle.   As many of you know, I've been using a dark-reddish brown color in my hair for months and I need a change.  L'oreal launched the new: Les Ombrés by Préférence (see below).  I've been thinking about buying the Ombré N.1, which is the darkest one.

My hair is short/medium right now, 
so the final look I'm expecting is something like this one:

I have mixed feelings, since I'm so excited and terrified at the same time.  My plans are to wear this look for summer, so I'll put this plan in action by the end of May and, of course, will make a post about my experience.

Your Pinterest Personality

Do you have a Pinterest account?  I got mine like six months ago and I already have ten boards, 661 pins and 184 likes (this may change in a couple of minutes).  Yes, it is that addictive.  I think it is a way to relax, dream and get inspired.  If you have Pinterest, take a look at your profile and tell me what is your Pinterest personality.  I came to the conclusion that this social website tells a story about yourself.

 I am a fashionista with a lot of appetite, wishing to travel the whole world, who sometimes likes to enjoy a little guy-eye-candy, with a love for vintage stuff and style, kinda philosophic, very curious, with a lot of stress and with a big admiration for art, especially water color paintings.

I love all these social websites such as Pinterest, Instagram, Tumblr, Twitter and (of course), Facebook.  But you need to be really careful with the privacy settings and what you share in them.  It's okay to post about stuff you like, but don't go overboard and save some secrets to yourself.  My professional dream was to have my own magazine, but since I already have Trend-ish., my goal is to work as a social media manager for small businesses.  If it's related to fashion, even better!  I spend a lot of time on social websites and really enjoy the art of it.

Fashion sense around the world

I really enjoy doing product reviews, outfits, combo-inspirations, fashion tips, nail creations and red carpet reviews... but what I love the most about blogging is writing articles from my point of view.  It's been a while since I didn't do an article because these are the hardest to prepare, since I need to do some research.

Have you ever thought of how different is fashion around the world?  Every country has their own style depending on weather and culture.  Since I started this blog, I've realize how relative fashion is.  In Puerto Rico, people dress fresh and comfortable because of the hot weather the entire year.  Even though sometimes I want to use more fashionable pieces, like coats and boots, I've come to the conclusion that you just have to take what you have and style it with originality.

I've heard that some of the most fashion-influential countries are New York, Japan and Paris.  Americans, Asians and Europeans are segmented there. I've only visited New York (for now), and what I love the most about the city is that it is a cultural mix.  You can see people from around the world and the trend setters are not from a specific region.  The real trend-setter is THE CITY.  I bet the same happens with Japan and Paris.

Asians: I think that Asians are REALLY stylish and pay a lot of attention to trends.  Most of them are so radical with their looks that some people from other countries may not understand them. I actually think they are just not afraid of trying anything and I admire their versatility and uniqueness.

 Europeans:  Europeans are very fashionable too, but tend to be really classy (red lips and chic pieces of clothing). You can also see girls wearing high heels and impeccable make-up a random day at 8:00 a.m. (somebody that has been to Paris told me that, ha!).  Guys are elegant and like to dress in neutral colors.

Americans: Now, back to my side of the world, people from the USA are more easy-going with their looks and Latins like to look good and sexy all the time.  As I mentioned before, New York is full of people from different places, but I think you can differentiate locals, because they tend to have a signature look: funky and care-free, just like Carrie Bradshaw.

In the modern world fashions change very quickly and styles come and go extremely rapidly. It feels like you buy one item and it’s out of fashion by the time you get it home.
