Croissants & Seashells

Some friends come and go, others stay forever.

I'm celebrating 10 years of friendship with this girl. Her name is Diana and we met during first year of college (2004). We clicked from day #1. We share the same passion for fashion and travel. I remember we used to skip class because we couldn't resist the temptation to go grab a strawberry/banana/yogurt/granola/honey bowl, which was sold in the campus for $5.00. I visited her in the weekend and since we still like sweet treats, she made banana/nutella pancakes.

We are wearing handmade skirts from KRMA Designs, paired with Converse sneakers. We wanted to look different and stylish, but comfortable. How fun and sweet are these prints?!

Outfit: Tights and... where are the shorts?!

When I arrived at Spain and started to organize my clothes, I realized I packed 4 pairs of tights with no shorts, dress or skirt to wear with them.  Next day we went to a mall near the school we were attending for that week and found out there was an H&M... LIFESAVER!  So I got these gray shorts and wear them later that week.  They were so comfortable and cute it was worth not packing any of the ones I had back home.  Everything happens for a reason, right?

PS.  I want to apologize for my lack of posts for the last days.  I came back kinda sick and way too tired from the trip and have been resting a LOT.  Plus, I'm finishing my thesis and only have one week left to be done with everything!

Tights Inspiration

For me tights are elegant, mysterious and classy.  I would wear them all the time with cute long blouses, sweater dresses, ripped shorts or sequin minis.  But as I've mentioned before, I live in the Caribbean, where 95% of the year feels like summer SO HOT.
My goal is to take mine out one of these Fall or Winter nights!

Outfit: First Days of Fall

Since Fall officially started, I decided to use some leggins this weekend.  The real reason was because the little white dress I planned to use was a see-trough one (didn't noticed that when I bought it).  I guess that's the risk you take when you don't like to try clothing at stores.  I think the dress was a bit long for leggins, but I felt very comfortable and was excited to use my new heeled oxfords!  I love wearing white pieces, but later that night I magically let some red drink fall on my white dress! Still mad about that...
Sorry for the low-quality shots, I was on a rush!

Victoria's Secret Fall Addiction

This week I received the new Victoria's Secret catalog filled with the fashion trends for this fall.  I fell in love with almost everything inside it (as always), so I thought to myself: is the clothing really pretty or is it the models that make them look as must haves?  I know I wouldn't look as they look on those over sized tops, boyfriend pants and combat boots, because they are TALL and I'm short. I'll probably look like a potato bag, but I still crave some of the pieces that really would suit my petite body.  How do they know my taste and style?  What is it that I'm willing to empty my credit card on VS clothing, shoes, underwear or anything else?  Seriously!

Brown, dark red, nude, gray, some sparkles and
heeled oxfords are the trend this season.

Outfit: FALLing Tribal

So there's nothing summer-ish about this look cause I think the outfit itself says: FALL.  It is very strange to see me wearing my hair up and a maxi skirt, but I felt so different and vintage. It is very inspiring to realize how fun it is to try new looks and not look the same all the time.  Still, my style is more hair down with a little braid, a mini-skirt and an over-sized loose blouse, but this look was comfy and sophisticated too!  Also, I'm wearing some of my faves: my tribal top and VS shoes.  If you notice my hair a little more red-ish, well I dyed it on Friday and I'm loving the color!
