Another Week Behind

A week from hell!!!  Even thought I tried to start the week with such a positive vibe [ see here ], a lot of bad-luck-ish stuff happened.  Anyway, let's not talk about that cause the week flew by and TGIF!

WEEKEND FASHION CRAVING...

pale-pink lipstick.

The truth is that I already purchased this lipstick last weekend, but I'm gonna use it for the first time this Saturday.  Pictures coming soon!

WEEK FAVORITES...

OUTFIT FROM ANOTHER BLOGGER:
Lucia from Around Lucia.
She's taking some risk with the sheer-almost maxi skirt and the over-sized blazer,
but she's definitely looking street-style-bombshell.

COMMENT ON MY BLOG:
Neiry
"I love the fact that at such a young age she has a better style than most older actresses. At that age my style consisted on wearing only jeans and shirts which was a horrible choice. I'm so glad that I changed it lol!"

Post:  Trend-ish icon of February: Elle Fanning

Why this comment?
Great point there about the fact that she has a better style than most older actresses.

I also used to wear jeans, t-shirts and converse in my early teenage years.
I wanted to rock the surfer/skater look... HA-HA!

VIDEO:
O.k., I was waiting for the Breaking Dawn Parody from the Hillywood Show since Christmas and is finally here!  These guys have quite a talent, they copy EVERYTHING and they're even look-alikes.  Amazing job!

Enjoy the weekend...

Teresa

Another Week Behind

The highlight of this week was Wednesday.  I went for a mini-shopping with my best friend and her sister and then we went home where we chit-chat for a while.  This week we got Netflix at my home and we are totally addicted now.  I'm re-living old memories from when I was a teen watching The Hills!!!

Another Week Behind

This week was intense, but in a good way.
My plans for the weekend are to go to the movies and the beach.  My little brother (not that little anymore), turns 21 on Sunday, so maybe we'll have some dinner or party!

OUTFIT FROM ANOTHER BLOGGER:
For the second time, Sorelle In Style.
Talking about aztec designs, zig-zags or whatever, I really like this combo.
Even though we don't have winter seasons at my country, I LOVE looking at winter outfits photos.

COMMENT ON MY BLOG:

"i like reading your interpretation teresa. it's so interesting that every blog has different opinions. some say their best dressed are others worst dressed. since i didn't watch it, i'm intrigued by how, the various angles of photographs gives me another point of view, of the same dress. :)"

Post:  Golden Globe Awards 2012: Neutral Extravaganza

Why this comment?
Teddi is right once again.  It all depends on the angle of the camera, but Sara Michelle Gellar couldn't escape to be chosen as the worst dressed of the night by Fashion Police!

Another Week Behind

Yesterday started the Fiestas de la Calle San Sebastián.  It is a local traditional party in the streets of Old San Juan and that's how we officially end the Christmas in Puerto Rico... to learn more [click here].  I always attend and have a blast with my friends buying handicrafts and dancing to the bit of our cultural rhythm, but this year I think I'm skipping it to go to the beach with my boyfriend.  We need sun, sand and water.  This weekend is packed with exciting things, since I'm having a makeover tomorrow and I already have my popcorn ready for the Golden Globe Awards next Sunday.  Aahhh TGIF!!!

 Post:  Outfit: Date Night

Why this comment?
It's nice to know my readers appreciate my effort and understand the low quality of pictures taken at night.  I'm just extremely perfectionist.

HAPPY THREE KING DAY !

[ image via GoogleImages ]

If you are celebrating today, hope you have an amazing Three King Day
For those who don't know what this celebration is about, Three King Day is mainly celebrated in Spain, Mexico and Puerto Rico and is also known as Epiphany.  It takes place every year on January 6 and it is very special for kids as they receive gifts under the Christmas tree, very similar to Christmas Day.  Instead of leaving cookies and milk for Santa, they leave grass and water for the camels.  It is also a Christian celebration, as the Three Kings visited Jesus when he was born and gave him birth gifts.

Everything is closed today, so I'm spending the day with my family.  Tomorrow I'm going shopping and hopefully on Sunday I'll go to the beach.  Yeah, the beach.  We don't have winter in Puerto Rico.  I said hopefully cause I'm so lazy to get up from my bed on Sundays, but one of my resolutions for this new year is to have more contact with nature!

What are you doing the first weekend of 2012???

love,
Teresa

Another Year Behind

This year was wonderful!  I started blogging, I traveled twice: N.Y.C. & Spain, I started working as an intern at a fashion magazine and I'm almost done with my master degree.  I'm kinda sad 2011 is almost over, cause it was incredibly perfect.

What can I say about the last week of the year?  Nothing really special, but it was good.  I went to see New Year's Eve last Monday with my boyfriend and I totally loved Ashton Kutcher, I mean the movie.  It was a really cute story with a bunch of great actors all over the place... don't miss it!  My plans for this weekend are to stay at a little/private party with my family at home and wait until 12:00 p.m. for the toast.

WEEKEND FASHION CRAVING...

thin scarves.
This has been a cold winter for my year-round-warm-country.  And when I say cold, I mean 65-72 degrees... yeah, that's really cold here.  Thin scarves are great for this weather and they are a cute complement to any outfit.

My Letter to Santa: Christmas Wishlist

Today should be up a week recap, as every Friday, but since my week wasn't as good as I thought it will be, I decided to skip it and just talk about the Christmas weekend ahead!  So today I'm showing you the list that I wish Santa leaves under the Christmas tree.  I know he won't bring all of them, but at least I'm sure about #1 & #2.

1. The new iPod touch - 8gb.

2. A simple/sporty watch from Swatch.

3. Michael Kors tote.

4. Elizabeth Arden Face Cream Capsules
[ girls.. if you haven't try these capsules,

My weekend is gonna be all about spending time
with my family, boyfriend and some close friends.

What about yours?
hope all of you have a...
merry little Christmas !

Another Week Behind

[ me at a party this week ]

This week was nice.  My best friend visited me on Monday, we always have a great time/talk.  On Wednesday I went to a fashion magazine Christmas Party at a really nice place in Isla Verde, Puerto Rico (picture of me above).  During the whole week, I also tried a few Sangrías (which is a drink made of wine, chopped fruit, a sweetener and a small amount of brandy) and we really like to drink on Christmas time.  Not to mention I'm finally FREE since I handed out my thesis proposal on Monday!  No college until January!

A very BUSY week behind

Yes, I'm alive.
I'm just busy finishing my thesis.
This week was really intense cause it was not only the thesis, in the middle of that was the visit from the owner of Jenny (where I work) to the country.  A lot of work and a lot to do.  But I'll finally be free next Monday after 12:00 p.m.!  I'm glad to say that my posts will be daily again... YAY!

I don't know if I've mentioned this, but I work at Jenny.  This week was exhausting at work because we are re-branding the company.  Is not Jenny Craig anymore, it's Jenny!  But this weekend I'm celebrating that one of my best friends is coming to visit from Washington, DC and we are meeting somewhere for a couple of drinks and nice talk.

Another Week Behind

It's been a while since I don't write an "Another Week Behind" post because of the NYC trip, but they're back! Monday was fun.  We dressed up at work and I laughed until I cried!  The rest of the week was a bit stressful because I'm in the middle of my thesis and some other stuff.  My weekend agenda is full as well and I'm planning to go shopping to see if I can find:

COMMENT ON MY BLOG:
While I wish to have seasons in my country (the whole year is summer @ the Caribbean), Teddi is jealous about the flowers in my backyard.  Teddi's comment for [ this post ] made me realize that we are never happy with the weather from the country we live in.

Teddi said...
"do you have any idea how pretty you are? that bag has great braiding detail. i own feather/wing earrings. i want your bracelet! i like the color & texture of your blouse. those shoes create a great look, & .. i'm jealous of all the pretty flowers & greenery where you live. for i mostly see dead grass, & wilted leaves, killed by the texas heat & sun. just call me mary sunshine."

Another Week Behind

This week was so exciting for me.  Really focusing on my dreams is leading me to new experiences and new projects.  I'll be working with a well-known fashion magazine at Puerto Rico named Egomoda as a writer/journalist intern.  This is exactly what I want to do and I think this blog is the best evidence I own to show I'm really passionate about it.
Countdown for NYC: 6 days!

Your mom is beautiful, I can see where you got our looks from! You both looked stunning for the event and I love how you used Isla's look as your inspiration, ruffles look great on you! OK so leather shorts, these are a lot of fun! 1. you can try menswear inspiration with an oxford shirt and a vest. 2. you could try a jacket like mine today with leather shorts, that's an edgy rocker chic look. 3. blazer with sequins tank 4. fur vest or short jacket So there you have it, 4 fun ideas w/leather shorts :) Your comments always make me smile, Teresa I feel so fortunate to have a reader as genuine and sincere like you! :)
