Review: Sephora Mini Shopping

I visited Sephora last week in search of a new face powder.  I didn't know which one to choose and that's why I decided to ask one of the employees, who put me in a chair and started to apply make-up to my almost nude face.  He teached me what a primer does to the whole make-up.  It is a gel-base to make powder last longer and also absorbs oil.  I had some accumulated points in my Sephora card, so I redeemed them to get the face primer and then I bought the face powder he used: Hello Flawless from Benefit.  I loved the final result and it was a better shopping day thanks to the job he did.  My mom told me my face looked healthy and even.  Too bad I didn't take any pictures of me, meh!

Pros:
1) Really good texture.
2) The color is perfect for my skin tone.
2) One brush for a natural look and a sponge to cover up imperfections.
3) Very cute case.

Cons:
1) A bit expensive: $35.
2) When you use the brush it gets kinda messy because lose powder gets everywhere.

Review: Concealer of my dreams

A couple of weeks ago my best friend called me and said: "Hey, can I stop by?  I accidentally bought a new concealer that's too dark for my skin-tone and it is too expensive to trash away... wanna try it?" I said: Of course!  Next morning I applied it and I felt like I was in a dream finding the right concealer I've been searching for years!  I always wake up with puffy eyes and dark circles because of my sinus condition and I'm always trying new concealers, hunting for the perfect one.  And the product is...

Pros
1. the best part is that it brings eye cream mixed with eye-corrector
 2. smooth/creamy/soft
 3. easy to apply, you don't even have to work hard to cover
 4. covers perfectly
 5. compact and fun to use
 6. dries quickly, no messes
 7. you feel like you are pampering your eyes instead of mistreating them

Cons:
NONE

Guest Review: Crème Gel Eye Liner by Revlon

The retro 50's eye makeup is ideal for any occasion, as it has a romantic air while it has a flirtatious side. You can play with the width of the line and that gives you the opportunity to determine how dramatic the look will be. After testing various liquid eyeliners, I found this Crème Gel Eye Liner by Revlon. From the moment I used it, I fell in love with the product.

Pros
cheap [ $9.99 ] / waterproof / long-lasting / brings the brush / variety of colors
Cons
none so far.

My February Birchbox

January's Birchbox brought bigger samples and all of them were so great.  This month's box didn't surprised me at all.  I'm not even going to use some of the stuff and the sizes are microscopic.  That's really all I got to say this time.  I'm sharing a little review from each product.

1. beauty blender®
[ i don't even use foundation, so this is useless for me ]

2. Jouer Luminizing Moisture Tint
[ good moisture, poor coverage... one use only ]

3. Orofluido Elixir
[ best product in this box, glowing hair after use ]

4. Violent Lips Glitter Lip Tattoo
[ not really sure it'll work, but this is so interesting... can't wait to try ]

Do you have Birchbox?
If so, was it an exciting or
disappointing box this month for you?

love,
Teresa

Guest Review: Sephora Stuff

Today I'm having a guest post.  She is not a blogger, but she is my best friend since.. forever!!! Her name is Adilén, but you can call her "Ady".  Between both of us, she is the one that recommends beauty products to me.  So she went shopping to Sephora, bought a few products and I asked her to do a review/article of her new mascara and nail polish.
Here you have it!

Oh Sephora!!! They have been one of my make-up weaknesses for years. I’m always trying new products, but this time I ended up spending $19 in a Buxom Lash Blackest Black. That’s the most I’ve spent in a mascara, but I don’t totally regret it because it’s REALLY goodMy lashes look longer in seconds (and I have very small lashes), it lasts all day, and comparing with other much more expensive mascaras in Sephora this one is very big so you don’t end up paying $24 for a small tube of mascara. The downside is that it doesn’t give them much volume and for me that’s a must. My favorite mascara still is the L’Oreal Voluminous in Carbon Black and it costs almost half the price, but I’ll enjoy the Buxom while it lasts.

That day I bought a Sephora nail polish “Frankly, I don’t give A-dam” by Opi.  It was $9 and it’s the most I’ve spent in a nail polish too.  Although it’s just a grey color, the people that have seen my nails love them. The nail polish has lasted for a week which I don’t know about you girls but normally they last for like three days because they get chipped very fast.

Review: New Makeup Stuff

I'm not really a makeup girl, but sometimes I feel like trying some products with good reviews.  This time I'm reviewing about the popular eye-lash: Maybelline Great Lash (Very Black).  Since I am so eco-friendly lately, I'm also reviewing the EcoTools Blush Brush.

Maybelline Great Lash Mascara

Pros:
1. cute case
2. easy to care
3. really intense black
4. makes my lashes very long

Cons:
1. not that creamy
2. doesn't make my lashes fuller

Ecotools Blush Brush

Pros:
1. really soft on skin
2. comes with a cute case
3. cute shape
4. eco-friendly

Cons:
1. not precise
2. difficult to catch the blush
3. too big

Hope this can help when make-up shopping!
xx

Victoria Jackson Kit Review

So this girl came to my office weeks ago, selling some cute makeup.  I'm pretty easy to convince when there's something cute in front of my eyes, so I said okay, how much?  It was, supposedly, a more than $70 value kit for just $20.
The brand?  Victoria Jackson.

The blush was a sparkly/light/rose color and gives your face a porcelain look when you apply it before your regular powderAt the bottom of the tube was a lose amount of this blush that can be used on your clear nail polish or, in my case, I'm using it as eye shadow.

The kit has the blush, two makeup bags, a purse mirror and four lip gloss colors with the lip brush.  I have to say it was well spend money cause I like the lighten effect that the blush gives to my face and chest, but I found a little surprise on Amazon.com... (check it out here).
