Croissants & Seashells

Some friends come and go, others stay forever.

I'm celebrating 10 years of friendship with this girl. Her name is Diana and we met during first year of college (2004). We clicked from day #1. We share the same passion for fashion and travel. I remember we used to skip class because we couldn't resist the temptation to go grab a strawberry/banana/yogurt/granola/honey bowl, which was sold in the campus for $5.00. I visited her in the weekend and since we still like sweet treats, she made banana/nutella pancakes.

We are wearing handmade skirts from KRMA Designs, paired with Converse sneakers. We wanted to look different and stylish, but comfortable. How fun and sweet are these prints?!

Seven Lives

Hi, trendsetters! I've been through a couple of sad experiences these past two months. It's been hard, VERY hard. But just like a cat gets back on his feet after falling from the highest tree, I am back up feeling stronger and slightly more mature.

Talking about cats, KRMA Designs have an exclusive local line called Propagandistic. This line is made for girls who are willing to wear cute and funky short skirts. They are affordable hand-made pieces and come in three different prints. For this Sunday out, I picked the fiercest one and paired it with a good attitude.

Feeling Sunday

Hi readers!

My Sundays are for waking up late, relax and do whatever I want. I like to dress comfortable and feel like the day itself: free. If I don't hit the beach, I'll probably prepare a homemade brunch and then take a walk around town or maybe visit someone. This outfit, from Gatsby, feels so lose and carefree I could do yoga with it. Also, the spaghetti sleeves are perfect for the high temperatures of summer.  Sounds convenient, doesn't it?

This past weekend I realized how many amazing museums I've visited around the world, but still haven't been to one in my country. Can you believe that? I didn't made an entrance, but passed in front of the Museo de Arte de Puerto Rico and promised myself to take a look inside pretty soon! In this occasion, I was in the mood to keep walking and go for a little home-deco/Father's Day shopping. Yeah... It was that kind of Sunday and I loved it!

Little White Dress

¡Hola!

How important it is to have in your closet the famous "little black dress"? Yes, it is so elegant, classy and easy to wear! But let's be honest, who wants to wear black on summer? What about having a "little white dress"? It'll accentuate your sun-kissed skin and will build a better look to visit the pool-side area.

A white dress could be a risky piece, since it's a revealing color and may be see-trough. This [ Gatsby ] dress has the perfect shape, fabric and texture to achieve that sexy, but chic look to your girl's day/night out. When styling a black dress you need to pay attention to some details in the combination. The same happens with a white one. You don't want to look blah, so you need to add some color to your lips or/and accessories. Here's how I mix my colors:

Sammydress + Flower Power

It doesn't matter how dark is the setting or how dark are your clothes, flowers will brighten off your photos and will pop a natural glow to your face.

Ironic how much I like flower crowns and floral pieces, but I prefer to live among buildings, night lights, urban spaces, many restaurants / shopping places, fast spaced people... that's me. That's why I live in the 10th floor, in the middle of my country's highest group of buildings and where my closest view is Hato Rey, San Juan. There, anything that comes from nature is rarely found, but highly precious. Sunrises, sunsets and flowers stand out like in no other setting. I LOVE THE CITY.

Today I'm sharing a little shoot from the rooftop of my condominium, wearing a black maxi-dress from Sammydress.com. Temperatures in Puerto Rico are raising to 90 degrees and over, so even though this is a dark/long dress, it is so light and fresh!
