Mi nuevo elefante

(To read in English, scroll down and see comments.)

  1. Today was a successful shopping day. While I was searching for accessories, I saw a necklace with a hanging big elephant and there was only one left. Quickly I fell in love with it even though my boyfriend told me it looked horrible.

Recently I saw the movie Water for Elephants and I also fell in love with Rosie, the elephant. I learned a lot of things I didn’t knew about how elephants are abused while trained in circuses.

So I thought of 3 things while I was holding the necklace:

    1. Elephants are for good luck
    2. Elephants are abused around the world
    3. Elephants are very intelligent

Then I said to myself, why not? Still, it had a very pretty rustic decoration and it was totally different! So I went to pay and the cashiers told me: “What a beautiful necklace!”, “Where is it?”, “Tell if it’s the last one so I can borrow it from you!” I smiled and found out that if you fall in love with something you see while shopping, just buy it without caring what other people say. That thing you fell in love with is YOU and who knows if everybody likes it on you and you can create a trend from that.

Remember that being Trend-ish. is not only just following a trend, but represent the trend that really is you.
